Slow practices for sleep

Bedtime Yoga for Sleep

I help women who can’t switch off at night quiet a racing mind and sleep better — with slow yoga, yoga nidra, and short daily practices. Guided by Melania Romanelli, certified Yoga Nidra teacher.

Before anything else

You get into bed exhausted — and your mind picks that exact moment to replay the whole day.

The message you never answered. The thing you’d say differently. Tomorrow, already loud. Your body is spent — and still it won’t loosen its grip.

This is for those nights. Nothing to get right, no pose to reach for — just a voice, a few unhurried minutes, and permission to set the day down. Let the shoulders drop. Feel the breath slow. Notice how the day softens its hold.

Pause

Breathe out — the day can end now.

What we practice

Four gentle ways into sleep.

Made for the hour before bed — and for the bed itself. Short, unhurried, and easy to keep.

Bedtime Yoga — in your bed

Soft shapes under the covers. No mat, no getting up, no lights back on — your bed becomes the practice.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra for Sleep

Lie still and follow the voice. A guided body-scan rest that carries you, slowly, toward sleep.

Wind-down

Gentle Evening Wind-Down

Slow, easy movement to shed the day — for the hour between everything and rest.

Breathwork

Breathwork to Slow Down

Longer exhales that tell the body it’s safe to switch off. The mind follows, a little quieter.

In their words

What women say about the journey.

Real words from women Melania has guided.

I’m not sure if I can find the right words. Mel helped me out of a dark, cold, and frightening tunnel from which I couldn’t find an escape. Thanks to her words and advice, she made me a strong, confident woman, capable of making decisions for myself

Finally, I understood that I had a problem, and at last, I started to feel better. Life changes you. And there is a life outside of it. I thank Melania; she gives you a great hand, and trust me, it’s worth it. I would do it other 1,000 times; it helps the soul and the heart.

What’s the point in not taking a risk? You have nothing to lose. Also, I love myself and want to progress in my life, so I gave myself this gift because I want to enjoy life. It’s just not worth living with this problem. Trust Melania, and most importantly, trust yourself

I see a real change in myself; I feel much stronger. I’m like a dandelion, I have a lion tattoo, and I’m a Leo! I’ve regained my identity, which I lost over the past 5-6 years. I was lost, but now I’m realizing that I’ve found myself again. Thanks Melania!

Life isn’t always a walk in the park. It’s about rebuilding a sense of balance; your problems don’t just disappear. You learn to live with them. If I know how to face it, it won’t bother me. It’s like having a book on a shelf-it doesn’t bother me if it’s there, as long as I can handle it

A whole new world opened up to me, and my life changed. With two little kids, I found time, kept countless journals, and truly studied myself. I gained so much self-awareness. I fell in love with this journey—yes, it is a love affair.

You might find yourself feeling lost and not knowing what to do. But Mel, through this journey, created a set of concepts, disciplines, and techniques that, if followed, inevitably lead to healing. You can’t help but heal. It regenerated me so much, and it opened my eyes

Meet Mel

I had to learn to sleep all over again.

I’m Mel. I had a life I loved — the work, the pace, the plans. Then it all came apart.

What followed was a slow unlearning. I had to relearn the simplest things — how to rest, how to breathe all the way out, how to close my eyes at night without bracing.

Sleep didn’t come back with a trick. It came back slowly — one quiet evening at a time — until my body finally believed it was safe to let go.

Now I teach women the same way back. Short practices. No fixing. Just your body, softening, in the life you already have.
